Join PA State Park staff at 9 AM at the parking lot on Burger Road off Route 115 north of Blakeslee for an easy, 2 1/2 mile hike on the Thomas Darling Preserve. The entire series will cover 40+ miles of trails on our public lands including state parks and local preserves. Come out to get some exercise, learn about the area's rich history and nature, and relax in the fresh air. Prairie Bloom Hike
Now is the time to explore the unique prairie ecosystem at Jennings. The hot midsummer weather will bring the spectacular blazing star and other prairie flowers to peak bloom. Join Jennings’ staff for a 90-minute guided walk discussing the plants, animals, history, and geology of the prairie. The prairie is hot and has little shade. Please dress appropriately. Hike begins in the Prairie Parking Lot.

West Branch Susquehanna Sojourn - Paddle & Pedal
The West Branch Susquehanna Sojourn is a 5-day, 43-mile guided canoe and kayak trip with a variety of activities, learning opportunities and fun on the river. Our final sojourn day will be a 21-mile bike ride along the famous Pine Creek Rail Trail - a sojourn first! Paddle the entire trip, or a few days...it's up to you! Advanced registration is required. Registration is $65/day per adult and $33/day per child. Includes: all meals, all campsite fees, shuttle service, guide service, gear truck service, educational speakers/programs, insurance, and sojourn t-shirt. A limited supply of adult loaner bikes are available to borrow on a first-come-first served basis - see website for more info. Register today!
